Sakonnet Vineyards

      The vineyard is located at 162 West Main Road. The Vineyard hosts a Hospitality Center that offers wine tastings, retail sales, and tours. They are open 10 am–6pm Memorial Day to Columbus Day (Day after Columbus Day to Memorial Day 11 am–5pm). Bike to the Vineyard, enjoy the tour and take advantage of your complimentary gift certificate. During July and August Sakonnet Vineyards hosts music events every Thursday from 6-8pm. Sakonnet Point Club

SPC Fitness      Sakonnet Point Marina enjoys a reciprocal agreement with the Sakonnet Point Club. Visiting yachtsmen, staying overnight in the marina, may take advantage of the amenities of the Sakonnet Point Club. Fine dining, pool, heads and showers, and gym are available at an additional charge. A member reference is required.

Wilbur House

Wilbur House      Located approximately 3 miles north at 548 West Main Road Wilbour House is the home of the Little Compton Historical Society. Your visit will take you back in time showing what Little Compton used to be like. Wilbour House dates from 1690. The Society offers education and outreach programs that stimulate interest in Little Compton's rich history. Please visit littlecompton.org.

Lloyd's Beach

      A short walk from the marina Lloyd's Beach offers great swimming. The beach is a bit rocky at the entrance but keep on walking and you will find a sandy section on which to spread your beach towel. Please be respectful of the owners' restrictions on the use of the beach. He has graciously allowed our guests access to the beach.

South Shore Beach

      Its location is not as close as Lloyd's Beach but getting there is a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Often a spot for surfing the beach attracts beach combers and surf fishermen alike. Please see one of our dock attendants to use our complimentary bikes to get you there and back safely.

Tennis Courts

      Town owned tennis courts are located on Meeting House Lane. You'll need to take one of our bikes for transportation. Use is on a first come first serve basis.

Sakonnet Lobster Company

lobster      If you're interested in freshly landed Sakonnet lobster take a short walk to the other side of the harbor. Look for the big green lobster on the building behind the Sakonnet Yacht Club that is the home of Sakonnet Lobster Co. Call (401) 635-4371 and tell owners Margaret or Jim Mataronas you're guests of the marina and they will gladly help you with your selection.

Chicken BBQ

Veteran's Field at The Commons

The chicken bbq is sponsored by the Little Compton Village Improvement Society. It is held the first weekend in August. Call Penny Walker at 635-2642 for reservations. Hot dogs and snacks will be provided by Saughkonnet Hot dogs. Other attractions include children's rides, a braided rug exhibition, silent auction, and a circus performance. All this is held at Veteran's Field at The Commons capped off by fireworks at 9 pm and a bonfire at 9:30 pm.

Church Fair

9 am-3 pm
The Commons

The 52nd annual Church Fair and Roadrace sponsored by the United Congregational Church located on The Commons will be held July 13 from 9-3 rain or shine. Tent events will include white elephant treasures, jewelry, baked goods, cheese, plants, knit goods, used books and more. The kids race starts at 8:30 and the road race begins at 9:00 am.
